This Mission Is Personal to Me.

Before I turned 3, my siblings and I lost both of our
parents. I was abandoned, left without access to basic education, and for years I could not read or write. By the time I was 12, I was still completely illiterate—until one of my brothers (who is now late) sacrificed two full months of his life to teach me how to read.
That simple act changed the entire direction of my destiny.
Today, millions of children in Nigeria are living the same reality I once lived. Over 18 million kids are out of school, according to UNICEF. And even among those who attend public school, many reach age 15 without being able to read a single sentence.
This is why I invest every year in literacy and feeding programs through Feed an African Child in Nigeria. I am simply paying forward what my brother did for me—giving children the same chance I was given.
YOU ARE INVITED TO JOIN THIS WORK.
Together, we can rewrite the story of a child who has been forgotten. We can give them the gift that changed my life: the ability to read.
